It makes lefties extremely upset when you point out the
homeless drunks that walk around downtown in various cities
have no problem getting a state ID to continue to do what they
do. Yet somehow a sixteen year old kid with no intention of
getting a drivers license is somehow incapable, heck even put
through significant hardship in the course of getting an non-drivers-license state ID. Right.. So if these guys do just
fine using their ID at the grocery store and gas station for
boozin', why can't everyone else do it to vote?
When I go and buy avocados and Yerba Mate, I don't need to
provide ID.
Trump also equated showing ID at the gas station, something
I've never done. As for showing an ID at the grocery store, I
suppose he should have been clearer about showing ID at a
grocery store when buying age-restricted items.

to provide ID.

The left doesn't want accountability for their actions. They prefer
to do what's right in their own eyes...laws and law enforcement be
damned. That's also why they want to defund the police, and want
nothing to do with religion. In short, without laws, you have anarchy.
It has nothing to do with anarchy, it has more to do with having appropriate resources. But the right called it "defunding the police", and that's where we are.

The democratic party really shit the bed on the whole "defund the
police" thing. The idea was to increase mental health resources for homeless people instead of throwing them out on the street and having
law enforcement deal with them. There's no funding for mental health assistance, so someone decided, maybe we could take funding from law enforcement, since they'll have less to do in urban areas.

I lived and worked in San Francisco and Oakland for many years. I've
seen people on the streets committing crimes, harassing people or
leremy sleeping and panhandling that belonged in mental care
facilities, not jail. In fact, many of them had been in institutions
that could no longer afford to keep them.
Because there's no mental health resources available, the cops get the call - and they're not well equipped to handle them.
I remember the Kelly Thomas incident in Fullerton where they did not know ho to deal with a person that has mental issues and ended up beating him senseless where he died.
Big cities are not fun when you have to deal with people with schizo type issues.
I feel sorry for the bus drivers who have to transport these people at 1am.
